NorCal Surf Nation is currently made up of 7 clubs spanning from Reno (close enough to NorCal!) down to Monterey. We will come together over the coming years for play dates, tournaments and combine to make NorCal Surf Select teams. In addition our players will get the opportunity to guest play on sister Surf clubs…some of already gotten this opportunity playing with the Hawaii Surf at Surf Cup. Our combined future is exciting and with that said meet our NorCal Surf Nation sister clubs.

Walnut Creek SurfWalnut Creek Surf has a rich history being established all the way back in 1971 in Walnut Creek, CA. Many successful teams and coaches have come through the program over the years. Currently they are lucky enough to have the world renowned Brazilian national team player Sissi as one of their coaches. How cool is that! They run both a recreational league in addition to their competitive teams with total 77 teams registered with NorCal Premier!

Central Valley Surf

Central Valley Surf started out in 2004 as Stockton Maracras FC, joining Surf Nation in 2018. Recently merging with Lodi United FC, and together they now have 35+ teams registered with NorCal Premier. Serving the communities of Stockton, Manteca, Ripon, Lathrop, and Lodi there is no doubt they will continue to grow. On top of that they have easy access to River Island Sports Complex where Surf Select holds its trainings.

San Jose Surf

San Jose Surf started out in 2007 as Club America San Jose and grew to 16 teams by 2015. Since joining Surf Nation in 2017 they have grown to 48 teams and show no signs of slowing down. They are now led by their General Manager Mark Christie who prior to the role was with the San Jose Earthquakes Academy.

Monterey Surf

Monterey Surf is the furthest south of our NorCal Surf Nation. And just like Central Valley Surf they too have brought in a neighboring club to join the fold by merging with Monterey County Futbol Club giving their players all the advantages of Surf Nation. Together they have 35 teams registered with NorCal Premier. And guess what? Sometimes they even practice at the beach! Not bad…

Sierra Surf

Sierra Surf located in Reno, NV was formed in 2017 as the Nevada Celtic Soccer Academy by a group of like minded soccer coaches who wanted to bring affordable club soccer to Reno. Quickly growing to 12 teams they then decided to join Surf Nation to offer greater access to opportunities to their players. Now up to 16 teams and growing, the future is bright.

Solano Surf located in Fairfield, CA is our newest club formed in 2021. Two clubs, Solano United and NorthBay Elite, seeing the value that Surf can bring to their players and families merged to create Solano Surf. Located in a talent rich area, there is no doubt they will grow and become a source of pride to the Fairfield, CA area.
