Friends of Surf (FoS) is an integral and supportive part of the Surf community. For families with Surf players, the parents automatically become members of the FoS. Parents interested in becoming more active members in the organization can choose to serve on the FoS Committee; act as an age-group representative; take part in social activities; or volunteer to help with the many charitable events sponsored by FoS.

OUR MISSION

FoS is a volunteer organization at the Club that strives to enhance and enrich the Folsom Lake Surf experience for all players and their families, and to support the Club through:

  • Fostering a diverse, supportive, and tolerant community spirit among parents, players, coaches, and staff at the Club
  • Welcoming new families to Surf and offering support and other information that will help them assimilate into the Surf family
  • Coordinating and organizing activities, functions, information and services that promote and encourage such a spirit of community
  • Supporting and enhancing Club programs, coaches, and activities through facilitating and coordinating parent volunteers
  • Supporting and coordinating community events under the umbrella of Folsom Lake Surf and the Folsom Lake Soccer League, including player-led community events and various other events as identified by FoS
  • Generally, to do all such other activities as the FoS may consider incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objectives of the FoS.

Our volunteers are dedicated parents with great ideas, a sense of fun, and are always in search of new friends in the community. If you would like to meet more like-minded people, come volunteer as much or as little as you have time to share.  We would like to share your skills, ideas, and expertise.

If you are interested in joining the FoS Executive Committee or are interested in learning how you can get involved, please contact us at FoS@Folsomlakesurf.org.
