90% of high school players do not make the university soccer team
With 100,000 high school seniors playing soccer and only 8,000 to 9,000 university roster spots, making the team is already a challenge and you haven’t even tried out yet.
So what does it take to make it?
Effort and visibility. On the pitch and in the classroom, university prospects are committed to daily regimens to improve their soccer skills and earn academic achievement. As a Folsom Lake Surf player, you have access to a process and a system that will support your commitment and offer several opportunities to gain exposure to university scouts at games and in tournaments.
What support can be expected of the Surf Soccer organization?
Surf Soccer offers a great supplement to your high school’s college counseling program – tailoring it to the needs of an aspiring scholar-athlete. Surf Soccer Surf offers players one-on-one introductory meetings to get them comfortable with the university admissions process, recruitment expectations and guidelines, as well as tools to help players identify the right-fit universities for them. Furthermore, Surf Soccer provides venues, like the Surf College Cup Showcase, for scouts to get to know its players giving them the visibility required to earn those roster spots.
